The menu at Asheville Academy for Girls is designed to provide well-balanced whole food meals. Wholesome nutrition and its impact on adolescence has been a focus in research in the past several years and much value on the knowledge is incorporated into daily menu planning at Asheville Academy. Our location in Western North Carolina provides opportunity for many local vendors that allows us to use local produce and product.
Kids tend to enjoy the meal that much more when they are allowed to engage in the preparing of meals. That is why at Asheville Academy for Girls, the students are a part of preparing, serving, and cleaning up. They all have a chance to participate in the “Kids in the Kitchen” where they get to learn about balanced and nutritious menu planning, create and prepare their own meals, and share their skills with the community.
Constant movement and activity on our gorgeous campus helps our girls to feel better about themselves in a number of ways. Through bonding on a soccer field to relaxation during evening yoga your daughter is allowed to focus on herself and participate in a number of activities. Since we see a close relationship between being active and good behavioral health activities are something we really push at Asheville Academy.
